The wife of soccer player Achraf Hakimi, who is also an actress has however announced her divorce after the French Prosecutor accused the PSG star of rape. She made the announcement through a statement released by the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
The actress expressed a need to make a public statement and clarified her state of mind regarding erroneous information spreading about her split from the player. She clarified that she made her decision to split from him some time ago, before allegations of rape were brought up against Hakimi.
Hiba Abouk added that “After making the decision to legally separate and stop living together, while waiting for the divorce proceedings, who would have imagined that in addition to facing the usual pain that comes with a separation, and accept the grief that comes with the failure of a family project to which I had given body and soul, I would have to face this ignominy.”
She stated; “I have needed time to digest this shock and, in certain issues or delicate matters, silence can help.” A silence with which she has now decided to end in order to recover her “personal, public and professional life in the least harmful and traumatic way possible”.
