Ruto and Raila Agree Talks Obasanjo to Mediate
Ruto and Raila have once again in one voice agreed to hold talks for the second time in a bid to resolve issues raised by the opposition concerning the cost of living in the country.
In a statement which was read by both Majority and Minority leaders Kimani Ichung’wa and Opiyo Wandayi respectively States that they will set up a ten members team.
“We have therefore, agreed with Kenya Kwanza to establish a committee of ten, composed of five members from each Azimio la Umoja and Kenya Kwanza,” ~Opiyo Wandayi said in a statement.
The statement also states that the talks will involve four(4) members who will come from outside the Parliament.
From the four (4) non members of Parliament two(2) will come from each side, the Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja.
Other members will include the leader of Majority and Minority from both sides, Four members of Parliament ; two (2) from each side.
They however reached this agreement after the interventions from the former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
This comes after the nationwide anti government protests which claimed life of many Kenyans, while others are still nursing injuries in various hospitals across the country.
The Nigerian former President Olusegun Obasanjo will Mediate the talks between Ruto and Raila sides, Kenya Kwanza side and Azimio la Umoja in order to find amicable solution to peace in the country.
