Maurice Ogeta, Raila’s personal guard released.
Maurice Ogeta the personal guard to opposition leader Raila Odinga has been released today morning from detention where he was detained for over three days.
Maurice Ogeta was arrested on Wednesday while he was on his way to work with police detectives who were in plain clothes, ever since then his whereabout was not known until his release today.
According to ODM’s director for Communications Philip Etale, Ogeta was released today morning just a few minutes to 1 am and driven while blindfolded and left in the middle of the road in Ruai towards Kangundo.

Etale also revealed that Ogeta’s car was seriously vandalized however he is still shocked and in distraught over the incident, but he’s happy to be alive.
Yesterday , 21 , Friday 2023 the high court judge justice L. N Mugambi had ordered police to produce Ogeta Before any court of law as early as possible.
Justice L.N Mugambi issued this directive after Ogeta’s brother Christopher Onyango Ogeta filled a suit before the high court.
This week several individuals and leaders who are allied to opposition leader Raila Odinga were arrested in connection to the recently ended three days protests.
Odinga is expected to give a way forward on the next course of action for the rising cost of living and high taxation by Kenya Kwanza government.
