The KRA unfair Selection Process for the revenue service assistant job.

Kenyan youth who had applied for the KRA job decry over unfair selection process which took place earlier today.

On 3rd , may this year the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) a body mandated to collect tax advertised a job opportunity for young Kenyan youths.

Thousands of youths had high hopes that they would secure the Revenue service assistant job .

KRA had a target of employing only 1350 youth on three years contract basis to take up the position with an option to extend after the three years elapse.

On 23rd may the application process was done and on 4th July shortlisted applicants received an invite to take an online aptitude test. This raised high hopes among many unemployed graduates across the country who had applied.

By 15th June the process was over and only selected applicants were contacted to attend a two months training at the Recruits Training School (RTS) in Eldoret commencing on Saturday 17th.

According to Kenya Revenue Authority the training which is going to run for 60 days will be joint coordination between KRA and KDF.

The Training will be both Physical and theoretical where all contacted applicants will have to attend all training sessions both in class and physical ones.

Those who will fail to attend the sessions will be disqualified from the program completely.

Thousands of youths whom I spoke to today have raised a lot of concerns about the credibility of the exercise, citing unfairness in the process.

For instant one of the unsuccessful applicants who did not want his identity revealed, told me that most of the people he know who were successful in the selection process were very close people to influential politicians.

According to him the whole process was stage managed for formalities, top influential people in the government were given a target number of people to take up the role.

We have also attached here one of the prove that this process was stage managed in the photo below.
