KeNHA Temporarily Closes Section of Mombasa Road.

KeNHA has issued a notice to the public confirming the closure of a section of Mombasa – bound carriage effective Tuesday , July , 11, the closure will run for Four days from Tuesday.

In the notice seen by Upasho the closure of the Said road begins exactly at 10 pm Tuesday until on Sunday morning.

This move is to allow the section of the highway to undergo maintenance works on the said section of the road.

Part of the statement from Authority read as the following.

“The Kenya National highway authority wishes to inform the public that there will be temporary closure of section of the Mombasa bound carriage way between Mlolongo ( near expressway exit) to Athi River interchange from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10.00pm to Sunday 4.30am”

Due to the closure traffic will be forced to share one adjacent lane of the dual carriageway.

However KeNHA has also issued motorists with a notice informing them that they must approach the section of the road with caution and ensure that they follow traffic rules and guidance from traffic police.
