- KDF helicopter crashed on Monday night during a patrol in Lamu County.
In his statement to the family and friends of the KDF soldiers killed in a plane crash, President Ruto who is also the Commander in Chief of all armed forces posted on his X account to mourn the brave soldiers.
In his statement the head of state revealed that the fallen soldiers were courageous and brave while safeguarding and upholding the country’s sovereignty.

According to Kenya Defense Forces , the Kenya airforce Huey helicopter crashed on Monday as all the crew and other military personnel onboard who were part of air surveillance died on the spot.
The Defense force has not disclosed the number of the Officers who died during the crush, However the Huey Helicopter is capable of carrying a maximum of up to 13 people.
