Areas In 6 North Rift Counties listed as Bandits Hideout.

CS Kithure Kindiki has listed specific areas in 6 North Rift Counties that are hideouts for bandits and armed criminals. They are therefore declared scenes of crime. All law-abiding civilians have been ordered to vacate the following areas by Monday, March 13, 2023 by 8.30am ahead of Phase 2 of the ongoing operation against banditry.

All law-abiding civilians have been ordered to IMMEDIATELY vacate: Korkoron Hills, Tandare Valley & Silale gorges in Baringo; Mukogodo Forest; Kamwenje, Warero & Ndonyoriwo; Lekuruki Hills, Losos & Kiape Caves & Sieku Valley in Laikipia;

CS Kithure Kindiki has also warned law-abiding Kenyans to move out of Ltungai Conservancy, Longewan, Nasuur, Lochokia and Lekadaar Escarpments; Lolmolok Caves, Pura Valley, Malaso Escarpment and Suguta Valley in Samburu with immediate effect.

Further, those currently in Kapelbok, Nakwamoru, Lebokat, Ombolion, Nadome & Kamur caves in Turkana; Turkwel Escarpment at the interface of W. Pokot & Turkana counties are hereby ordered to get out before the lapse of the 24-hour ultimatum issued by CS Kithure Kindiki.
