Kenyans on social media have reacted strongly after a video of the popular content creator and radio presenter Kamene Goro washing Omena with soup and disinfectant emerged.
The popular NRG radio show host had a cooking session on their YouTube channel alongside comedian Oga Obinna.
Obinna and Kamene’s husband Dj Bonnez were all surprised when they saw her pouring hot water in a basin then added soap, disinfectant and then Omena.
She however claimed that if you need to have clean food then you are required to thoroughly clean it before cooking.
Obinna and DJ Bonnez could not hide their shock however Kamene told them that she has done it before and nothing bad has ever happened to her.
She continued rubbing soapy omena with her hands and later rinse them after soaking for a few minutes in water.
Kenyans who saw the video made mixed reactions mostly condemning her for the action. Some claimed that the chemical used is very dangerous for human consumption.
